Today I made such a yummy lunch. Arugula salad with fresh squeezed lemon juice, olive oil, parmesan cheese, fresh ground pepper. Avocado with everything bagel seasoning. A sweet potato and black bean salad with lime and cilantro and onion. My plate was full with all these yummy veggies. I feel so good when I eat this way.
I was really patting myself on the back as I ate lunch. Especially since that morning I had succeeded with the intermittent fasting I’ve been trying as well. For months I’ve been trying to get into this anti-inflammatory eating routine.
Well, after lunch I felt I needed something sweet. So I ate four Oreos and a big chunk of the baguette that was sitting on the kitchen counter. And then for dinner I had a Snickers bar. And I just finished an ice cream sandwich before I sat to down to write this.
There is something going on here, isn’t there? I just can’t figure it out but it is very apparent that this is just not working.
Tomorrow I will begin again.
