Treading water

It’s okay if it feels like all you’re doing is treading water.

We’re getting lots of messages right now and there’s a lot of expectation hidden inside of them.

If you have food, shelter and people who love you, you are way ahead of the game.

It’s our natural way of being to have concern for others, but it doesn’t work if we don’t have concern for ourselves first.

We start small.

We aren’t wired to carry the weight of all this.

We don’t need to do everything perfectly.
We do need to give ourselves a break.

It’s not selfish to take care of you first.
It’s the only way any of this works.

Take a closer look at yourself.
Put your hand on your heart.
Take a deep breath. In through your nose, and breath it all out through your mouth.
It’s just too much, my friend. It’s just too much.
And you are handling it beautifully.
