I grew up next door to my grandmother. She always took the time at the end of her day to write in a journal. Her entries were mostly about everyday stuff – chores done, dinners made, weather. I’ve always loved looking back at them because it’s such a clear picture of her life.
Inspired by her journals, I’m committing to daily journal entries here on my blog.
My entries will be a bit different. My dinners aren’t blog worthy (although, wait a minute, it IS taco night tonight!).
Honestly, I’ve been feeling a sadness lately. At first, I thought it was because something was missing in my life. 2020 showed me that’s just not true. Nothings missing. It’s all here, already.
The sadness is that I don’t see it.
So, my goal will be to notice. The noticing every day will be my practice. The journal will be a way to shine a light on my life and help me see.
My hope is to keep this light and to express myself in a way that feels like me. Writing, photos, TikToks, doodles – it’s all possible here! I’m no expert on anything, I’m just a gal trying to find her way. And I’m glad to be able to share it with you.
