I walked around the farm today, along the brook and up through the fields. I visited the goats too. The weather has been warm for January in Massachusetts – 30’s for the most part. A little blessing in these crazy times.
Wes was home from school today as his test didn’t come back in time. Christian took him for a haircut. I guess the guys at the barber shop still ask for Charlie. But Charlie grew his hair out and now he comes to the salon with me.
I heard to loudest owl outside at dark tonight. In fact, it sounded like there could’ve been two. I don’t hear that sound often.
We’re coming up on the two week marker of this detox. I needed a break from preparing food so I suggested we take a family drive to Chipotle. I was looking forward to this all day. When we got there, it was packed and they were only taking orders through their app. I am a little ashamed to admit this, but, I got back in the car and had a full blown meltdown. I’m not going to put what I said in writing. A few minutes of deep breathing and I got myself back on track. I got on that damn app and found the next closest Chipotle. Determination, my friends.
I read this today:
I believe that appreciation is a holy thing – that when we look for what’s best in a person we happen to be with at that moment, we’re doing what God does all the time.
-Fred Rogers

I adore that Fred Rogers quote ❤
Thanks for sharing it xo
