Today it rained and rained and rained. I’m in New Hampshire and found out that when it rains and rains and rains here, water comes into our basement. That’s good to know.
The river is flowing like crazy, so the water is light brown from the stirred up sand. The little sandy spot I planned to sit on this summer is completely under water. That’s interesting to see too.
I’m trying to do all these little finishing touches on the house, and you know how that goes. It never ends. We’re getting there though.
I finished watching Ted Lasso, again. This happens to be the third time I’ve watched the entire season. I can’t help it, I just love it. I’ll watch it again too. Don’t you try to stop me. The show helps me remember what it is I’m doing here in this life. And that is a gift. And it makes me laugh too.
We only have two more weeks of the Artist’s Way in our group. This book has a way of showing you things about yourself, deep things. It can be exhausting to look at some of the stuff. The stuff that prevents me from creating. The stuff that prevents me from living my days the way I want to. But it’s worth it. I feel a huge shift. But I also feel like I very much need a break from deep stuff.
I heard this today:
You know what the happiest animal on Earth is? It’s a goldfish. You know why? Got a ten-second memory. Be a goldfish, Sam.
-Ted Lasso

Thanks for reading today’s entry in my daily blog. My goal here is to practice noticing. I try to write about small things and I try to keep it light. Sometimes I write about creativity or healing. And sometimes I write about my dogs or what I cooked for dinner. Writing daily here is a way for me to shine a light back on my life and help me see.
