We have a super comfy couch and two relatively comfy chairs in our living room. We also have Christian’s leather recliner we bought about 20 years ago. We really try to keep the dogs off of the furniture. We really do. We prop up cushions so they can’t fit. We put our little square cube ottomans on the couch and chairs. But the second we forget, they get up. They are always watching. And they’re dirty from being outside most of the day. And McFly’s hair is everywhere. Gracie will get desperate and jump up onto the recliner if it’s her only option. It’s actually impressive to watch her because the chair starts rocking back and forth from her momentum. Christian is better about keeping them off. I will give in sometimes. I mean, how can I not when their faces are looking up at me? Mom, it’s so cold and hard down here on the floor.
Yes, I always give in.
Thanks for reading today’s entry in my daily blog. My goal here is to practice noticing. I try to write about small things and I try to keep it light. Sometimes I write about creativity or healing. And sometimes I write about my dogs or what I cooked for dinner. Writing daily here is a way for me to shine a light back on my life and help me see.
