Wild

It was the last day of the Easter Bunny Adventure at the farm so Christian and I went out at 7am and helped play easter bunny and hide some eggs in the trees. It was about 25 degrees. Brrr.

Grocery store and cleaning this morning. I picked up a Polish babka from the store. And I also got some croissants. I came home and Christian mentioned the Irish soda bread from last month. I realized I just really love bread products from around the world.

I found a little gray bird stuck on our screened porch. I went out with a broom to guide her out. Her bird family was outside the porch trying to help her get out too. Lots of tweeting and flying right up to the screens. She clumsily found her way out and the whole bird family made a big ruckus and they all flew away together.

I watched the documentary Kid 90. If you grew up watching Punky Brewster and were a teenager in the 90’s, I highly recommend it. Soleil Moon Frye shows tons of home movies from her younger years and shares what her life was like hanging out with lots of other famous teenagers.

I read this today:
Be wild; that is how to clear the river. The river does not flow in polluted, we manage that. The river does not dry up, we block it. If we want to allow it its freedom, we have to allow our ideational lives to be let loose, to stream, letting anything come, initially censoring nothing. That is creative life. It is made up of divine paradox. To create one must be willing to be stone stupid, to sit upon a throne on top of a jackass and spill rubies from one’s mouth. Then the river will flow, then we can stand in the stream of it raining down.

Thanks for reading today’s entry in my daily blog.  My goal here is to practice noticing. I try to write about small things and I try to keep it light. Sometimes I write about creativity or healing. And sometimes I write about my dogs or what I cooked for dinner. Writing daily here is a way for me to shine a light back on my life and help me see.
