I got my second Covid vaccine shot today. I'm exhausted. Could be the shot, could be life. I'm taking the night off from writing. I'll be back tomorrow.

Attention
I was listening to a podcast today and they were talking about this idea - what you pay attention to makes your life. It's such a fascinating subject to me. When I began this "healing journey" (I put that in quotes because I don't love calling it that but it's really the best way to … Continue reading Attention
Let go.
I know you're technically not supposed to shake kombucha, but this particular kind had lots of stuff settled at the bottom. So, I gave it a couple of flips up and down. Not a full shake, just a couple of flips. Well, I was driving and when I opened it it overflowed onto my pants. … Continue reading Let go.
Noticing
Christian and went out to lunch today to celebrate our anniversary. We've been married 19 years which is just crazy to think about. We started dating when we were both 20 years old, and we've been together for 24 years total. Wild. We really didn't know what we were getting into. But here we are, … Continue reading Noticing
Steps
I went for a nice long walk on a route I haven't been on in a while. And I remembered how much I like that route. There are abandoned foundations and fireplaces in the woods. I even saw a set of stone steps with nothing at the top. And as I walked I thought about … Continue reading Steps
The Light

I thought of this post I wrote four years ago when I was first doing my blog. It touches on parenting and mothering and how … Continue reading The Light

They all run around together for a few minutes and then McFly decides he's all set. Then, a few minutes later, Gracie decides she's all set. But Jenna and Sheppie … Continue reading Ready
Angry Octopus
Another day of working around the house. Another day of complaining about working around the house. Again, Christian was not impressed. I spent many hours on the ground of our back porch painting and stenciling the concrete floor. I'm not sure how I'm feeling about the finished product. Once I get all the furniture back … Continue reading Angry Octopus
Chores
I can amaze myself with my ability to procrastinate chores. And when I'm finally doing it, I'll complain and feel sorry for myself. But then, when it's finally done, I'll think to myself, Well, geez that wasn't so bad. But I don't learn. I just repeat the process over and over again. Today I finally … Continue reading Chores
Happy
Spring is the season that tests your patience. You get a few days of sun and warmth and you're on top of the world. Then, there's rain and cold. And the feeling that It's supposed to be warm out, it's spring! That was today. Dreary and cold and icky. Some time at the farm checking … Continue reading Happy
