It feels good to look at the weather forecast and see that the temperature is going to be hovering around 40 for the next week. The snow has been melting and the mud is intense. Wesley’s teacher said to send in an extra set of pants because of mud on the playground at recess.

Charlie had a good first week back in school in person. He told us today that he is only one of four boys in his grade that have chosen in person over remote learning. Christian said, Charlie that’s not a bad thing.

I haven’t been sleeping well and I can’t figure out why. It makes the days hard. I am a person who needs good sleep.

Meatballs for dinner tonight. Charlie still refuses to eat pasta. We had angel hair pasta. It is so good, and I just don’t understand how he won’t try it. I piled a big serving on my plate and added butter and salt and pepper. Yum.

Charlie finally did the paperwork he’s been avoiding for his drivers ed classes so that he could start doing road lessons. It took him all of two minutes to do something that he’s been putting off for months. Ahhh, don’t we all know what that feels like.

Wes, Christian and I finished the three seasons of Cobra Kai last week. Tonight, Wes asked Christian to watch Karate Kid. It’s one of Christian’s favorite movies and Wes hasn’t seen it yet. They’re watching together as I write this.

I read this today:
Don’t be a magician; be magic.
